About US Layoff Radar
US Layoff Radar tracks mass layoffs in the United States, using the official WARN notices employers must file before large layoffs and plant closings.
The data
Every row in the database is one official WARN notice published by a state labor or workforce agency. Each filing shows the employer, the location, the notice date, the effective date, the number of workers affected, and the notice type, as reported by the state.
Company names are shown exactly as the state published them. Where the same employer appears under spelling variants, the site groups the variants for display; the original names are kept in the data. Figures from layoff aggregators are used only to spot discrepancies — when they conflict with an official registry, the official figure prevails.
Browse the data by company or by state.
The news
Short articles cover notable layoff rounds, each built from primary sources where possible. A claim that rests on a single source is labelled as such, and numbers that are estimates are labelled as estimates. Read the latest on the News page.
